Health Update on Ghulam Nabi Azad

Ghulam Nabi Azad, the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, was hospitalized in Kuwait as a result of extreme heat conditions. He is part of a delegation led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda. Azad took to social media platform X on Tuesday to share that he is on the mend.

In his post, he expressed gratitude, stating, "I am blessed to report that despite the severe heat in Kuwait impacting my health, I am recovering well, thanks to God. All my test results have come back normal. I appreciate everyone's concern and prayers; they mean a lot to me!"

Delegation Leaders Show Support

BJP MP Baijayant Panda, who is leading the delegation, noted that Azad's absence will be felt during the remainder of their trip. He mentioned on X, "As we progress through our delegation's tour, Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad has been admitted to the hospital. He is stable and under medical care, undergoing necessary tests. His contributions during our meetings in Bahrain and Kuwait were significant, and he is understandably disappointed to be bedridden. We will miss him greatly in Saudi Arabia and Algeria."

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh also expressed his concern regarding Azad's hospitalization, wishing him a swift recovery. He remarked, "I am concerned to hear that one of the prominent members of our delegation, sent to strengthen India's narrative against Pakistani terrorism, has been hospitalized in Kuwait. We wish him a quick recovery."

Delegation's Mission Continues

The delegation, led by Baijayant Panda, has now arrived in Saudi Arabia after advocating for India's position against terrorism in Kuwait. They were received by Maj. Gen. Abdulrahman Alharbi, who chairs the India-Saudi Arabia Friendship Committee of the Shura Council.

Panda emphasized, "India's stance on terrorism is firm and unwavering — a message we are delivering to Saudi Arabia with our all-party delegation. We appreciate the warm welcome from H.E. Maj. Gen. Abdulrahman Alharbi as we embark on crucial discussions to enhance our partnership."

This multi-party delegation, comprising seven groups each led by a different MP, aims to combat global misinformation and showcase India's zero-tolerance approach to terrorism.
